Measuring Sustainable Development Goal 4: How PIRLS can help

UNESCO is co-hosting the event with the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA).You are invited to attend the release of the 2016 Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS and ePIRLS) entitled Measuring SDG4: How PIRLS can help on 5 December 2017 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Astana local time) in Room IV at UNESCO Headquarters. It will include a press conference and a roundtable where you will be able to learn the application of large-scale assessments, such as PIRLS, in the monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4) targets.

• Discover the key findings of PIRLS and ePIRLS
• Learn how large-scale assessments can inform policy
• Understand how the application of PIRLS and ePIRLS can help in measuring SDGs and their targets
• Discuss actions needed to ensure no one is left behind
